USA, South Korea join search for AsiaAir Flight #QZ8501

As the search for the missing AsiaAir Flight #QZ8501 continues, USA and South Korea have announced intentions to send in vessels to assist. While the USA will be sending a naval vessel, the USS Sampson, South Korea will be sending in a Lockheed P-3 Orion reconnaissance plane.

Australia, Singapore and Malaysia aircraft and vessels are already participating in the search operations alongside Indonesian vessels. China and Thailand have already pitched in too.

As at this time, no signs of the missing aircraft have been found. The theory being worked on by authorities involved is that it is at the bottom of the Java Sea.
