AirAsia: Debris and bodies found in search area

The Indonesian Navy has said that debris has been found floating in the search area for the missing AirAsia plane and that at least 40 bodies have been recovered from the Java sea.

Indonesia AirAsia’s Flight QZ8501, an Airbus A320-200, lost contact with air traffic control early on Sunday during bad weather on a flight from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore.

Till date, about 30 ships and 21 aircraft from Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and the United States have been involved in the search operations.
