News: KICC ponzied, Army ousts Boko Haram, Carrie Fisher’s mom dies

Good morning, everyone! Bright new morning, isn’t it, with a thick haze around Lagos! A great day for some awesome news! However, not all of it is good news. But then, have you heard about the Nigerian Army and their exploits in Sambisa forest?

Video: Nigerian Army sends Boko Haram packing

The Nigerian Army has described how it recaptured the dreaded Sambisa Forest. This was in a video, which showed how the Boko Haram stronghold got a Christmas visit, courtesy of the Army. According to the video report, the operation involved both land forces and air strike teams. Apparently, the insurgents took to their heels when the Army arrived with guns blazing. Finally, the Boko Haram flag got taken down, signifying their downfall in Sambisa forest. You can watch the video here.

Carrie Fisher dies on Tuesday, followed by her mother
I’m going to say this one more time; 2016 was hard on Hollywood. A lot of celebrities died this year. From David Bowie to Severus Snape to Prince, 2016 has been a really sad year for celebs. Just two days ago, Carrie Fisher, aka Princess Leia from the universally acclaimed Star Wars series, died at 60. She died of a cardiac arrest. And now, her mom, Debbie Reynolds has joined her. Sad. 2016 struck yet again.

KICC Losses Cash To Ponzi Scheme?
Meanwhile, Nigerians have been head over heels over MMM. The Russian company suddenly froze its accounts early in December, and Nigerians went completely amok. Interestingly, one man went as far as taking insecticide. However, I don’t know what the officials of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) would do to themselves. According to a report by The Christian Post, the church invested over 5 million pounds in a similar scheme between 2009 and 2010 and lost all of it. The Lord is good all the time.
